The Pines

The Pines is a specialist children's home located in the beautiful Afan Valley, South Wales, providing medium- to long-term care for children and young people with learning disabilities, neurodiverse needs and complex health requirements. We support children with a wide range of needs, including Prader-Willi Syndrome, ADHD, physical disabilities and complex communication needs, including those who are non-verbal. Our nurturing, relationship-based approach combines high levels of warmth, structure and consistency, enabling children to feel safe, develop trusting relationships and achieve positive outcomes. Working closely alongside our on-site education provision, Tarren School and Mill Haven School, we provide integrated care and education tailored to each child's individual needs.

Children aged 10–18 at admission with a diagnosed learning disability, autism, global developmental delay or specific needs such as Prader-Willi Syndrome who benefit from a protected, well-matched and thoughtfully planned placement.
