Welcome to our homes

Welcome to our children’s homes, where children and young people with learning disabilities and diverse neurodevelopmental needs find a safe, warm and homely place to grow up. We provide medium- to long-term care for children whose needs are complex and often lifelong many of whom communicate without words and rely on routine, sensory regulation and trusted relationships to feel safe.

We don’t just supervise children we help them live well. Our homes are calm, predictable and nurturing, with skilled teams trained in Positive Behaviour Support, low-arousal approaches and trauma-informed practice. We see behaviour as communication, and we build our care around each child’s unique way of experiencing the world.

Guided by our HEART values and our Validate Achieve Live model, we give every child consistency, dignity and the chance to enjoy a real childhood building independence at their own pace and, wherever possible, learning alongside within our on-site schools.

Our care model

A place that feels like home.

Our residential services are guided by HEART, shaping how we build relationships, provide care and create environments that feel like home.

We deliver trauma-informed, strength-based clinical care that helps children make real, lasting progress. Therapy is woven into the rhythm of each home, so support feels consistent, safe and part of daily life.

Our multidisciplinary team brings together psychological assessment, individual and group counselling, speech and language therapy, and occupational therapy alongside reflective practice, supervision and training for our care teams.

HOMES · OUR APPROACH

Our care model

Validate

We believe behaviour is communication. Staff take time to understand each child's language gestures, vocalisations, movement, routines or sensory patterns and respond with attuned, low-arousal interaction, accepting each child's lived experience without judgement.

Achieve

Progress is personal and measured in small steps: increased tolerance of change, improved regulation, stronger communication, growing independence and feeling safe in relationships. We achieve this through structure, co-regulation and visual tools.

Live

We want children to live well, not just be supervised calm spaces, sensory activities, community experiences, holidays and the chance to enjoy everyday childhood, surrounded by consistent adults who celebrate who they are.

Therapeutic, specialist & clinically supported

Our teams are trained in Positive Behaviour Support and the Kudos Intervention Training (KIT) framework, working within a High Warmth, High Control, attachment-based approach. We partner with Building Psychological Capital, our clinical partner, whose psychologists, assistant psychologists and access to Speech & Language and Occupational Therapy support our children and staff through weekly input, consultation and multi-disciplinary meetings.
